Dhaka Div South beat Dhaka Div North by innings & 151 runs

Dhaka Division South won by an innings and 151 runs against Dhaka Division North on the 2nd day of a three-day match of the Young Tigers U-18 National Cricket Competition at Rangpur Cricket Garden on Wednesday. In the day's match, replying to Dhaka Division South's 353 runs, Dhaka Division North were dismissed cheaply for 74 runs in 32.1 overs in the first innings. Trailing by 279 runs, Dhaka Division North opened the 2nd innings as they followed on, but were again dismissed cheaply for 128 runs in 58.5 overs. Akib Mahamud of Dhaka Didision South made an unbeaten century scoring 141 runs in the first innings and was adjudged man of the match. Brief Score: Dhaka Division South first innings - 353for 6 in 90 overs; Akib Mahamud 141, Rokibul Islam Raja 87, Rayan Rafsan 55, Ryan Morshed 3/53. Dhaka Division North first innings - 74 for all in 32.1 overs; Munim Shahriar 21, Ahasanullah Himel 5/15, Shariar Shuvo 3/13. Dhaka Division North second innings - 128 for all 58.5 in overs; Uday Bhuiyan not out 50, Saif Hasan 4/21. In the day's other matches, Rangpur Division took 222 runs lead against Sylhet Division at Barisal Divisional Stadium; Dhaka Metro took 196 runs lead against Chittagong Division at Faridpur Stadium; and Barisal Division trailed by 105 runs against Rajshahi Division at Dinajpur Stadium; Rangpur Division vs Sylhet Division In the day's match, Sylhet Division resumed their first innings with overnight 28 for no loss and scored 114 for all in 45.5 overs. Abiruzzaman Abir captured 5 wickets for 29 runs and Sanjib Saha took 2 wickets for 35 runs. In reply, Rangpur Division opened their 2nd Innings and scored 125 for 9 in 50 overs at stumps on the day. Sanjib Saha and Abu Nasir Limon were batting on 38 amd 0 runs respectively. Kamrul Islam claimed 5 wickets for 42 runs while Kamil Ahmed took two wickets for 25 runs. Brisf Score: Rangpur Division first innings - 211 for 9 in 90 overs; Moniruzzaman Moni 79, Sanjib Saha not out 75 runs, Kamil Ahmed 5/54, Kamrul Islam 4/70. Rangpur Division second innings - 125 for 9 in 50 overs; Sanjib Saha batting 38; Abu Nasir Limon batting -0, Kamrul Islam 5/ 42, Kamil Ahmed 2/25. Sylhet Diovision first innings - 114 for all in 45.5 overs (overnight 28 for no loss in 6 overs); Tanil Mahmud 33, Sakib Al Sani 27, Abiruzzaman Abir 5/29, Sanjib Saha 2/35. Dhaka Metro vs Chittagong Division In the days match, Chittagong Division opened the first innings on the 2nd day and scored 125 runs for all in 50.4 overs. Md Santu claimed 6 wickets for 38 runs while Rajon Sharkar Rabby took 3 wickets for 53 runs. In reply, Dhaka Metro opened the 2nd innings (222 runs in the first innings), and scored 99 for 1 in 37 overs at the end of the day. Shakib Murad and Aryan Fahim were in batting scoring 33 and 24 runs respectively. Barisal Division vs Rajshahi Division In the days match, Rajshahi Division resumed the first innings with overnight 215 for 4 in 59 overs and piled up 303 runs for 9 in 90 overs. Night watch batsman Najmul Hossain (129) scored 159 runs and Fayshal Hossain added 72 runs. Shakil Arman claimed three wickets for 47 runs. In reply Barisal Divisdion opened the 2nd innings and scored 118 runs for 5 in 74 overs at the end of the day. Hafizur Rahman and Mrdul Devnath were at stumps making 63 and 11 runs respectively. Anamul Haugue took two wickets for 16 runs. Brief Score: Barisal Division first innings - 80 for all in 46.4 overs; Oli Ahmed 30, Istakul Islam 8/24. Barisal Division second innings - 118 for 5 in 74 overs; Hafizur Rahman batting 63; Mrdul Devnath batting 11, Anamul Haugue 2/16. Rajshahi Division first innings - 303 for 9 in 90 overs (overnight 215 for 4 in 59 overs); Najmul Hossain 159, Fayshal Hossain 72, Shakil Arman 3/47.
