A three-day  long 'Development Fair- 2017' began   in Gouripur upazila of Mymensingh district on Monday with a view to highlighting tremendous socioeconomic successes achieved by the present government in every sector in recent years to help build Bangladesh a developed country by 2041.
The three- day programme  includes colorful rally, seminar, discussion, debate competition and cultural function. A total of 39 stalls have been set up by the government offices for the fair
The three-day fair showcased the initiatives taken by the government to achieve Vision 2021 and Vision 2041 as well as Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The theme of the fair is "Democracy for Development is the Key Motto of Sheikh Hasina".
To observance the day a rally was brought out in the town. Freedom Fighter Alhaj Nazim Uddin Ahmed, MP led the rally. Officials and employees of different offices, leaders and workers of union and upazila Awami League, students of schools were joined the rally. Rally was concluded at Gouripur Upazila Administration premises. Later Freedom Fighter Alhaj Nazim Uddin Ahmed, MP Inaugurated three-day long Development Fair as chief guest. Chaired by Margina Akter, UNO of Gouripur Upazila, the meeting was addressed among others by Md. Sanaul Huque , Upazila Vice Chairman, Rabeya Islam Doly, Upazila (Woman)Vice Chairman. Dr. Helal Uddin, AL Acting President of Gouripur Upazila and Bidhu Boshan Das AL General Secretary  as special guests.
All service oriented government, semi-government and nongovernment organisations took part in the fair, said Md. Alamgir Hossain,  Upazila Project Implementation Officer.
Staff Reporter from  Kishoreganj  reports: A three- day fair titled Development Fair- 2017 started in all district headquarters and upazilas of the country January 9-11 to district play on going development successes and incorporative people with governments development activities.
Kishoreganj District Administration arranged a development fair at local stadium in the town and a colourfull rally, display board, clour flags marking the day.
The fair playing an importent role in promoting governments future plans, partnering people in implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
A discussion meeting held at local stadium fair stage on Monday morning with Deputy Commissioner Md. Azimuddin Biswas in the chair.
Dilara Begum Asma M.P and Additional Health Secretary Roksana Kader were attended as chief and special guest on the programme.
At least 101 stalls were  set-up in the  Fair.
A colourfull rally brought out in the town led by D.C Md. Azimuddin Biswas.
Rampal-Mogla Correspondent adds: The  Development Fair arranged by Rampal Upazila Administration was inaugurated in Rampal Upazilla on Monday .
To celebrate the fair , a rally was brought out from the Upazilla Parishad and it paraded Rampal Bazar. During the time of rally , the participants enchanted different slogans of the development of the present government. After the end of the rally , the inaugural function began at 11.30 a.m. Being presided over by the UNO of Rampal Upazilla ,Upazilla Chairman Sk. Md. Abu Said was present there as chief guest. Upazilla  Awameleague President  Alhaj Sk. Abdul Oahab , Upazilla Awameleague Secretary and Rampal Sadar UP Chairman Alhaj Jamil Hasan Jamu , Upazilla Vice-Chairman Sk. Moajjem Hossain, THA of Rampal Thana Health Complex Md. Masum Iqbal , Mohila Vice Chairman Hosneara Mili , Acting Principal of Rampal College Sk. Saidur Rahman , government officials, teachers , students and may other local people were present there.
The fair will be ended on Tuesday.
