Independent TV emerged as the champions of the Kool-BSJA Media Cup Football beating Boishakhi TV by a solitary goal in the final at the BFF Artificial Turf on Tuesday.
Biplob of Independent TV scored the all-important goal and was adjudged the Man of the Final.
Zaniduzzaman Rana of Boishakhi TV was given Al Musabbir Sadi Man of the Tournament Award, while Banik Barta won Masud Ahmad Rumi Fair Play Award
In the day's first semi-final, Independent TV edged past Dhaka Tribune by 4-3 goal in the tie-breaker.
Ashif Zaman Sumit of Independent TV was adjudged the Man of the Match.
In the day's second semi-final, Boishakhi TV beat Samakal by 5-4 goals in the tie-breaker.
Khairuzzaman Rana of Boishakhi TV was adjudged the Man of the Match.
After the final match, Head of Marketing of Square Toiletries Limited Malik Md Sayeed distributed the prizes among the winners as the chief guest, while former captain of Bangladesh National Football team Jewel Rana, Senior Marketing Manager of Square Toiletries Limited Dr Jasmin Zaman, former general secretary of Bangladesh Sports Journalists Association (BSJA) Jalal Ahmed Chowdhury, General Secretary of BFF Md Abu Nayeem Shohag, Strategic Director of BFF Paul Smalley were with him as the special guest.
Acting President of BSJA Aghor Mandal, General Secretary of BSJA Raihan Al Mughni, Convener of the Tournament Committee Anisur Rahman, Member Secretary of the Tournament Committee SM Sumon were present at the time.
