Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad
A discussion on 98th birthday of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day-2017 organised by Bangabandhu Gabeshana Parishad was held at 32, Dhanmondi in the city on Friday. Earlier, leaders and activists of the Parishad placed floral wreaths on the portrait of Bangabandhu on the occasion. While speaking at the discussion speakers recalled the contributions of Bangabandhu. They said Bangladesh was not born if Bangabandhu was not born. Bangabandhu is the inseparable part of Bangalee and Bangladesh. Bangabandhu's ideology has been working as the source of inspiration for the advancement of Bangalee nation, they added. The speakers called upon all to be active for the implementation of Bangabandhu's ideology and  perception of the Liberation War. The programme was addressed, among others, by Poet Kazi Rozy, MP, President of the parishad Lion Gani Miah Babul, Vice-President of the organisation Nurul Islam Talukder, Publicity Secretary Advocate Khan Chamon-e-Elahi  and its Executive Member Masud Alam. Later, a rally was brought out marking the occasion.

Other office bearers are: senior Vice- President- Nazmul Haque Saikat, Vice-Presidents- Sheikh Jahidur Rahman and Jayanto Acharjee, Joint General Secretaries- Shyamal Kanti Joydhar, Manjurul Alam Panna and Muhammad Mamum Sheikh, Treasurer- Shyamal Kanti Nag, Organizing Secretary- SM Babul Hossain, Assistant Organizing Secretary-Kazi Jamshed Najim, Law Secretary-Wakil Ahmed Hiron, Office Secretary-Suvash Joydhar, ICT Secretary-Selim Khan, Youth and Sports Secretary-Samiron Roy, Publicity and Publications Secretary Md Selim Sheikh, Women Affairs Secretary-Tulona Afrin and Information and Research Secretary-Sheikh Shefarul Islam. Advisory council members are: Sheikh Kabir Hossain, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Dr Mijanur Rahman Mijan, Sheikh Fazlur Rahman Maruf, Khandkar Manirul Islam, Shaheed Hasan, Sharif Shahabuddin, Ajit Kumar Sarker, Khandaker Mohammad Khaled, Selim Omraw Khan, Shaban Mahmood, Arun Dey, Mollah Mohammad Abu Kawser, Mahmud Hasan Babul, Dulal Mahmud and SM Mosharraf Hossain.
