Gazi Group maintain all-win record in DPDCL

Table-topper Gazi Group Cricketers defeated Brothers Union by 10 runs in the 7th round of the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL) at t Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground 3 in Savar on Saturday.
Gazi Group maintained all-win record as the solo team in the 12-team league after scoring 236/10 in 48.4 overs in the day's match and also restricting their opponent Brothers Union at 226/10 in 48.5 overs where Abu Hider captured four wickets for 52 runs in 9.2 overs
Gazi Group opener Anamul Haque who was adjudged man of the match, sparked with bat for 93 off 97 balls, including five boundaries and four sixes, while Suhrawadi Shuvo, skipper Nadif Chowdhury and Alauddin Babu added 41, 33 and unbeaten 19 runs.
Mohammad Saddam and skipper Alok Kapali captured three wickets each conceding 34 and 48 runs respectively for Brothers Union.
Manvinder Bisla played an innings of 56 off 95 balls, including three boundaries, for Bothers Union while Alok Kapali scored 49 runs. Myshukur Rahaman scored unbeaten 38 and Dhiman Ghosh added 32 runs to be other notable scorers for the side.
Abu Hider captured four wickets for 52 runs in 9.2 overs. Shahidul Islam and Mahedi Hasan took two wickets each for 29 and 43 runs for the winners.
In the day's other match, Khelaghar Samaj Kallyan Samity's opener Robiul Islam Robi hammered a century of 103 on the way to a 20-run victory against Shaikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club at BKSP Ground 4, Savar.
Man of the match Robi featured 10 boundaries and two over boundaries off 126 balls. Amit Majumder and Salauddin Pappu were two other notable scorers with 58 and 46 runs respectively.
Sk Jamal DC's skipper Abdur Razzak captured five wickets for 52 runs in 10 overs while  Elias Sunny took two for 41 runs.
Despite Sk Jamal DC's two batters Rajin Saleh and Ziaur Rahman sparked for 76 and 75 and shared 108 in 19.3 overs in the 5th wicket, the side failed to chase down the target finishing at 246 for all in 47.2 overs. Prashant Chopra was another notable scorer with 44 runs.
Tanvir Islam bagged four wickets for 41 runs in 10 overs while Dolar Mahmud and Masum Khan took one wicket each for the losers.
Partex Sporting Club tasted the maiden win in this edition league as they outplayed Kalabagan Krira Chakra by 62 runs at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.
Partex SC collected 278/5 in 50 overs spurred with two half centuries by Irfan Sukkur (58) and Sazzadul Haque (53). Both the batters also shared 95 in 19 overs in the 4th stand.
Sajjad Hossain stayed for 46 runs while Jatin S Saxena and Rajibul Islam added 34 and unbeaten 30 runs respectively.
Nabil Samad bagged three wickets for 50 runs in 10 overs while Muktar Ali took one conceding 59 runs.
Man of the match Imran Ali's five-for 42 runs in 7.1 overs jolted Kalabagan KC's innings which finished at 216 for all in 46.1 overs.
Hamilton Masakadza top-scored 45 for the losing side while Nuruzzaman, Jashimuddin and Tasamul Haque added 34-runs each.
Mamun Hossain took two wickets for 41 runs for the winners while Nuruzzaman Masum, Zakaria Masud and Rajibul Islam took one wicket each for the side.
