Entertainment Desk :
Director Anindya Chattopadhyay’s Projapoti Biscuit is a simple love story that captures the blossoming love between Shaon (Ishaa Saha) and Antor (Aditya Sengupta), a newly-wedded couple living in a joint family, after their arranged marriage.
Theirs is a regular story until crisis knocks on the door when the couple realises they are not able to have a child. From trying to revive their romance to opting for IVF, they go through a series of challenges.
“It’s a simple tale of a middle-class household that portrays the simplicity of love and the natural essence of friendship,” said Anindya. The film shows friendship is the key ingredient to keep a marriage going strong. Sharing his secret recipe for keeping love alive after marriage, Anindya, who had tied the knot 11 years back, said, “Every moment we evolve as a person and both the partners have to embrace the changes in each other. Small surprises can make your partner happier than big efforts. For instance, going for a sudden drive on a rainy day is more romantic than celebrating anniversary at a posh hotel. Shaon and Antor’s journey of love after marriage despite all hardships will make you believe that love exists even after marriage.”
A few married couples of Tollywood shared how they kept romance alive after marriage by this way:
Nilanjanaa Sengupta
(married to Jisshu Sengupta)
We’re married for 13 years and make continuous efforts to keep the romance alive and kicking. Whenever Jisshu and I have a disagreement, we try to revisit the time when we fell in love. People tend to change their partners in their bid to build compatibility, but that's wrong. Even after all these years, Jisshu often takes us by surprise by returning from outdoor shoots a day or two before schedule. Surprises work wonders in a relationship!
 Ritwick Chakraborty
(married to Aparajita Ghosh Das)
After spending six years of married life with Aparajita, I still cherish each and every moment spent with her. There hasn’t been a single day when we didn't dedicate time to each other. And mind you, during our ‘we time,’ we don’t care where our phones are or who’s calling. Every relation has to be nurtured to make it grow. And one should never take their spouse for granted!
Koel Mallick
(married to Nispal Singh)
Nispal and I have been best of friends for the past 12 to 13 years, so it doesn’t feel like anything has changed after we got married four years back. He was, is and will continue to remain my best friend forever. When friendship forms the base of a relationship, you never tend to feel bored and the journey is full of fun. And that’s exactly the case with us. He is the person I can totally depend on and trust blindly - the two most important components of a blissful marriage.
Joy Sarkar
(married to Lopamudra Mitra)
I know Lopa for the past 20 years to 16 years of marriage and four years of courtship. Our relationship started with friendship and is still surviving on that. We give each other a lot of space, both professional and personal, as piling on each other can choke a relationship. Lopa belongs to my comfort zone and we can’t do without talking to each other for at least ten minutes before going to bed.
Jaya Seal Ghosh
(married to Bickram Ghosh)
After being married to Bickram for 13 years now, I can say with conviction that our expression of love changes over time and one has to accept that with wide arms.
Feelings of care, trust and respect for each other besides companionship are the key ingredients for a successful marriage. Small actions like going on vacations, occasional dinners and movies are also important to keep the spark alive.
