Addressing as chief guest Prof Dr AK Azad said that dementia is increasing in Bangladesh among senior citizens radically.
It's alarming, so that it needs to create public awareness to prevent this disease. In this regard we should conduct more and more research on dementia. Public and private universities as well as other research organizations should come forward to fulfill research works on dementia. He thanked  DIU for arranging this important research work.
Prof Dr Yousuf Mahbubul Islam said that to create awareness and new knowledge about dementia is the responsibility of a university. For creating new knowledge, it needs to conduct research.
But it's a matter of great sorrow that research fund is very insufficient in our country. We will have to break this tradition and allocate more funds for research works.

The first research work was covered the area of dementia's origin, outgrowth and many others.
This second paper has covered the area of dementias causes, symptom, prevention etc. He also said, it's time to create awareness about dementia. If we do not make people aware about dementia from now, it   will increase day by day in Bangladesh in coming days.
