Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Bangladesh is a land of river and it has wonderful six seasons.
The characteristics of four seasons are slowly disappearing from Bangladesh. However, Summer and Winter are getting more acute. In winter, it gets too cold to get to 10 degree centigrade.
A winter morning is misty and cold. There is dense fog everywhere. Sometimes the fog is so dense that the sun rays cannot get through it. Even things at a little distance can hardly be seen.
Birds’ chirping is not heard. The cow and other animals
cannot come out. But it is not so in every morning. Dew drops fall on leaves and blades of
grasses at night. They look like glittering pearls when the rays
of the morning sun falls on it.
The old and the poor bask in the sun in order to warm themselves. Fog vanishes as the day advances. In winter, she takes heavenly look that make you think Allah made Bangladesh with an extra care. The real
beauty of winter can be
found in village.
Villagers are simple but rich
at heart and in their hospitality. They love guests. They know
how to love others.
Nature still has its blessings on Bangladesh. The paddy fields, date tree, river and endless fog are so beautiful that everyone will fall in love with it. A winter morning is enjoyable in many respects.
Every year millions of guest birds come and they are even thinking about settling in Bangladesh once and for all. The loveliest places in winter in Bangladesh are Sylhet, Panchagar, Cox's Bazar, Kuakata, etc. There tribal culture is actually mind blowing. The Himchhari is the coldest place in the country.
Many tourism companies offers interesting discount in winter. You can enjoy a tour to Bangladesh at a very reasonable cost. There are many class hotels in Dhaka, Chittagong and all other districts in Bangladesh. If you are planning to visit Bangladesh in this winter bring some warm cloths to save yourself from cold. There is a proverb goes in Bangla: Unu Borshai Duno sit that means, if it rains too much in summer, then the following winter will be bring double chill. The winter lasting from this year not to be too cold. But it will slowly disappear by mid February. And then slowly the sun will get angrier on cold, and there will be humidity, heat, and rain. Welcome to Bangladesh, enjoy winter with us.
