Five teams select MCC final squads

Amidst great carnival atmosphere, the players' draft for Masters Cricket Carnival (MCC), a tournament for former cricketers, was held at the media centre of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur on Tuesday.
In the 15-member each four teams, except Chittagong Masters which finalized 14-memer squad, the organisers earlier finalized the names of five icon players of their respective team while the remaining players have been recruited through players' draft.
Five franchise-based teams -- Beximco-Dhaka Masters, Air Asia Rajshahi Masters, Raw Nation Khulna Masters, Amber-Chittagong Masters and Sylhet Masters Sixers -- will participate in the four-day competition.
The competition will begin on May 2 at two venues of Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in tourist hub of Cox's Bazar.
This time 15 overs matches will be held and the last over will be ten balls in league basis with all the participating teams will play each others. The two best teams of the league phase then will move to the final scheduled to be held on May 5.
Powered by Scan Cement, private satellite channel 'Channel I' will telecast live all matches of the competition.

Sylhet Masters Sixers : Naimur Rahman Durjoy (captain), Hannan Sarkar, Hasibul Hossain Shanto, Zakir Hasan, Shahriar Hossain Buddut, Anisul Hakim Rabbani, Rasheduzzaman Rasel, Saifullah Khan Jem, Tawhid Hossain Shamol, Sanjoy Chakroborty, M Saiful Islam Khan, Fahim Muntasir Sumit, Tasriqul Islam Totam, Sohel Hossain Pappu and Mizanur Rahaman Babul (manager).
Amber Chittagong Masters : Akram Khan (captain), Masudur Raahman Mukul, Ahsanaullah Hasan, Shahnewaz Kabir Shuvro, Azam Iqbal, Tareq Aziz Khan, Sanwar Hossain, Humayun Kabir, Moballig Jems, Johirul Haq Khan Rasel, Jahagir Alam, Jobayer Ishtiaq, Mahmudul Hassan Rana and Nurul Abedin Nobel (manager).
