Bangladesh beat India in last match in Independence Cup

The first ever Prime Bank Independence T20 bilateral series between Differently Able of Bangladesh and India concluded on Tuesday with Bangladesh counterpart winning the last match by 10 wickets.
Both teams were represented by Differently Able cricketers from respective countries. All the matches of the three match T20 series were held at the Daffodil University Campus field in Ashulia.
India, however clinched the trophy defeating host by Bangladesh 2-1 margin. After registering wins in first two matches of the series, Bangladesh emerged as winner by 10 wickets in the last match of the series.
The last match of the series was curtailed to 5 overs per team as the match took place five hours later than the scheduled time due to improper field condition.
India won the toss and decided to bat first. They scored 72 runs in their allotted five overs without losing a wicket. Rohit scored highest 36 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh chased down the total batting 3.3 overs. For Bangladesh, Manju scored 29 runs. Indian skipper Amit was adjudged man of the series.
Bangladesh Cricket Board Media Committee Chairman Mohammed Jalal Yunus was present as special guest. He said, "I myself like to get engaged with any sort of activities related to cricket. There are a number of Differently Able teams in the country, we are trying to unite all of them." He also thanked the organizers to take initiative for arranging series with Differently Able cricketers.
UNESCAP Disability Rights Champion Mohammad Abdus Sattar Dulal said, "Congratulations to ARDRID for taking initiatives to arrange bilateral series for Differently Able cricketers of India and Bangladesh. It is a great push to attain the rights of physically disabled people in Bangladesh.
Thanks to everyone who came forward for arranging the series with special thanks to Prime Bank and hope they will stay beside this sort of activities in future as well."
Sattar also urged for Bangladesh Cricket Board to come forward. There are lots of organizations of Differently Able cricketers in Bangladesh, he insisted to allot at least 2 crore BDT per year for the welfare of Differently Able cricketers in the country.
