2nd Int'l Education Convention at DIU

Daffodil International University (DIU) 2nd International Education Convention was held with the slogan of 'Education for world peace' recently at Nobab Nowab Ali Choudhury Senate Bhaban of Dhaka University. The convention was jointly organized by Bangladesh Chatra Kallyan Trust and Trust Model Academy. Lieutenant Colonel (Rt) Abu Osman Choudhury, Executive Director of Chatra Kallyan Trust and Sector Commander of 8 no. Sector of Liberation War was present in the program as chief guest. Prof Dr Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, World University of Bangladesh, Prof Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Sher -e- Bangla Agriculture University, Prof Dr Golam Shahi Alam, Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Agriculture University, Prof Dr Emran Kabir Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of Comilla University were also present with among others in the program.
In the convention four personalities were given Life Time Achievement Award and 15 scholars were given Special Honorary Award for their outstanding contribution in education sector.
Life Time Achievement Award receivers are Prof Dr Iftekher Uddin Choudhury, Vice Chancellor, University of Chittagong, Prof Dr Emran Kabir Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of Comilla University, Prof Dr. Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Sere Bangla Agriculture University, Prof Dr Golam Shahi Alam, Vice Chancellor of Sylhet Agriculture University.  
Special Honorary Award receivers are Prof Dr SM Emamul Haque, Vice Chancellor of Barishal University, Prof Dr Mohammad Rafiqul Alam, Vice Chancellor of Patuakhali University of Science and Technology, Prof Dr Mohammad Alamgir, Vice Chancellor, Khulna University of Science and technology, Prof Dr Atiqur Hai Shibly, Vice Chancellor of North East International University, Prof Dr Md. Ahmed Khan, Vice Chancellor of European International University, Prof Dr ANM Meshkat Uddin, Vice Chancellor of South East University, Md. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer of DIU, Md. Abdur Rashid Khan, Treasurer of Khaja Younus Ali University, Sadequr Rahman Khoka Shikder, Chairman of Sariatpur District parishad, Sheikh Harunur Rashid, Chairman of Khulna District Parishad, Prof Md. Rahul Amin Bhuyan, Chairman of Cumilla Education Board, Prof Md. Ziaul Haque, Chairman of Dhaka Education Board, Prof Dr Md. Giash Uddin Mia, Vice Chancellor, Bangabondhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Agriculture University, Prof AKM Sayef Ullah, Chairman of Bangladesh Madrasha Education Board, Professor Md. Abdur Rashid, Chairman of Sylhet Education Board, Prof Md. Abdur Rashid, Principal of Tejgaon College.  
The program was conducted by Nur E Alam Talukder, Chief Executive Officer of Chatra Kallyan Trust. And Daffodil International University was the sponsor organization of this program.
