Sports Reporter :
Hot favourites Brazil will face emerging Mexico in their Round of 16 match of the FIFA World Cup Russia 2018 at Russia today. The match kicks-off at 8.00 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time). The winners of this match will move into the quarterfinal, while the losers will bid good-bye the World Cup 2018.
On the way to reach the Round of 16, Brazil emerged as the unbeaten Group-E champions securing seven points from three matches.
On the other hand, emerging Mexico became Group-F runners-up begging six points from three matches.
It may be mentioned that Mexico and Sweden earned same points each but by virtue of better goal difference , Sweden became the Group-F champions.
BBC Sport football expert Mark Lawrenson is making a prediction for every match in Russia, and correctly guessed the outcome of 22 of the 48 group games.
He said, "I don't think Brazil enjoy playing against Mexico, who have a decent record against them.
Brazil have won four of their past six meetings but, since 1999, Mexico have won seven and draw three of their 15 matches.
So the Mexicans will not fear them the way some teams do - but they might have problems stopping them.
Brazil look like they are just starting to come to the boil. Neymar has not really got going yet but, when their attack clicks, the pace with which they come forward is frightening."
Lawro's prediction: 2-0.
