A brilliant 92 runs by Zakir Hasan enabled Bangladesh A to record a thumping 87 runs victory over Ireland A in the second ODI at Wicklow, Dublin on Friday.
Earlier, Bangladesh asked to bat first, piled up impressive 289 for 6 in their allotted 50 overs. Thanks to brilliant Zakir Hasan's dazzling 92 runs off 92-ball studded with eight glorious boundaries and three eye catching sixers enabled Bangladesh A to post a challenging total.
Zakir along with Saif Hassan (37) put on impressive 139 runs for the first wicket partnership. Fazle Rabbi with a quick fire 53, Al Amin with 47 runs and skipper Mominul Haque with 23 were the other notable Bangladesh A batsmen.
Chase with three for 63 and Tyrone Kane with three for 67 were the leading Ireland A bowlers.
In reply, Ireland A batsmen found Bangladesh A bowlers meant business when they came out to bat, against some very disciplined bowling, Irish A batsmen found runs hard to come by as they struggled to be bowled out for 202 runs in 46.3 overs.
