Yet another Bangladeshi cricketer in the controversy after star Bangladesh all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain Saikat's longtime life partner filled a case against him charged with torturing the wife. The case was filed with Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate of Mymensingh.
Mosaddek who has been a regular member of Bangladesh team in recent times tight the knot with his wife Samia Sharmin six years back. Everything was fine since then but the problems between them started when the cricketer gets limelight after getting a chance in the country's national team.
According to Samia's elder brother, Mosaddek vanquished his moral responsibility by the passing of time. He started to squiffy with friends sitting in the house. He was also addicted to other women and involved himself in other anti-social activities. But his wife never liked such activities and for that reason, she asked him to refrain from these.
He said, "Whenever my sister asks him to stop such activities, he gets heated and that's the beginning of contention as well as distance. Although everything was fine in the beginning, Mosaddek started to lose his morality after getting chance in the Bangladesh national team. We realize that star fame, name-calling, and money have changed him."
Despite Mosaddek living in the capital city Dhaka, he did not bring Samia with him to live together rather he left her in their hometown Mymensingh. Meanwhile, he involved in extramarital relations with other women in Dhaka. When his wife came to know about that and protested, mental and physical torture were started on her.
To be noted, Mosaddek Hossain made his debut to international for Bangladesh back in September 2016 against Zimbabwe. His tremendous performance with the bat in domestic cricket circuit forced the selectors to give him national team opportunity. He so far has played 21 ODIs, 8 T20Is, and 2 Test matches in Bangladesh's jersey.
