Ten killed in road crashes

At least 10 more persons were killed and 20 others critically injured in separate road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Cox'sbazar, Seven people, including three women, were killed when a Star-Line bus collided face to face with a Leguna in Chakaria of Cox's Bazar district.
At least 15 people were injured in the accident.
The accident occurred on the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar highway around 11am on Tuesday.
The deceased are Khair Ahmed, 40, the leguna driver from Lohagara of Chittagong, Abul Kashem, 27, and Jahir Ahmed, 31, both from Harbang area of Chakaria, Rokeya Begum and her daughter Jaitun Nahar from Chunti, Basanti Shikder and Shafiqul Quader Tushar, 20.
Local sources said that a bus of Starline Paribahan collided head-on with a leguna (local human hauler) on the highway in Baraitola area, around 11:30am.
Bakhtiar Uddin Chowdhury, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chakaria Police Station said , process is underway to hand over the bodies to the deceased's families.
The Starline bus was seized from the spot, said Highway Police In-Charge Nure Alam.
In Gopalganj, a student of primary school was killed by a microbus in Muksudpur upazila of Gopalganj district on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Kinjor Roy, 12, son of Pijush Roy, from Dasherhat area in the upazila. He was a student of class three at BK Government Primary School.
Mostafa Kamal Pasha, Officer-in-Charge of Muksudpur Police Station confirmed the news to media.
In Thakurgaon, a motorcyclist named Muzaffer Hossain was killed when a pick-up rammed themotorcycl at Thakurgaon.
Two others were injured in the incident. The accident took place on the Thakurgaon-Panchagarh Highway at Telipara on Tuesday morning.The deceased was the driver of a local Poultry Farm.
Thakurgaon Police Station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Latif Mia told the news to media.
In Brahmanbaria, a boy named Sourav (9) was killed by a motorcycle when he was going to his grandfather house in Akhaura of Brahmanbaria district.This incident took place on Monday midnight at the village of Myanand in Upazila.Locals detained the motorcycle and handed over to the police.
