Taslim Ahammad :
Through increased local capacity-building and employment opportunities, eco-tourism is an effective way to empower communities around the world to fight poverty and achieve sustainable development. People want to experience nature and the world, however, they must try to do so in a way that does not affect the natural environment. In response to this growing appreciation of nature's experiences, a new travel ethic has emerged called eco-tourism.
Environmentally responsible travel to natural areas, in order to enjoy and appreciate nature (and its associated cultural features, past and present) that promote conservation, has a low impact on visitors and provides active social and economic participation useful to local peoples.
Most tourism in today's natural areas is not ecotourism and not sustainable. Eco-tourism is now defined as "responsible travel to natural areas that preserve the environment, maintain the well-being of the local population, and involve interpretation and education.
Eco-tourism is about standardization of conservation, communities and sustainable travel, meaning that those who engage in eco-tourism activities the following eco-tourism principles must be adopted: (i) Decrease physical, social, behavioural, and psychological impacts (ii) Create environmental and cultural awareness and appreciation (iii) Be responsible for positive experiences for both visitors and hosts (iv) Make available direct financial benefits for maintenance (v) Creäte financial benefits for both local people and private industry (vi) Convey memorable interpretative experiences to visitors that help raise sensitivity to host countries' political, environmental, and social climates (vii) Policy for construct and operate low-impact facilities (viii) Be aware of the rights and otherworldly beliefs of the ethnic people in your community and work in partnership with them to create empowerment.
Benefits of Eco-tourism: Eco-tourismimportant for people and the planet - As an eco-tourism, people may travel with more than personal satisfaction in mind. People may help the planet and enable others to lead a more fulfilling life.In perfect regions, we may offered a touring experience that reminds us of nature's enchanting qualities and we may commonly introduced to welcoming people.Eco-tourism reduces carbon footprint - When people travel, commuting is a major part of the experience. Some choose to rent cars and drive while others take planes or trains.
Commuting is obvious when traveling, but there are adventurous ways to cut back on transport that adds to pollution in the air.
While on a trip, explore guided areas that offer tours on foot. Have fun realising the unique types of shared transportation that each city provides, such as trolleys and hybrid buses that offer comfortable means of travel for tourists and residents.Animals suffer when people do not travel sustainably - Small companies are working to save species from extinctions and monetary support helps them in this mission.
At many major attractions, animals are unfairly caged or forced to participate in performances that reason them stress and uneasiness. As an alternative of paying to view animals in captivity, go sightseeing to see them at play in their natural habitats. There are also hiking trails waiting to be discovered that offer colourful views of nature and close encounters with diverse species.Become more sensitive by eco-tourism - Regrettably, many of the travel experiences people take part in do not take into consideration how it affects our planet and the well-being of people. There are many popular attractions that are insensitive to the environment and animals.
These places continue to make a large amount of money because many people are unaware of the harm and pain it causes, simply viewing it as amusement. On the other hand, lesser known attractions may not be able to advertise or host a large number of guests at once, but deserve the publicity and funding to help them move forward. When people visit thoseplaces and tell others about the experience, help to promote eco-friendly businesses and keep them in action.
Tourism laws -Tourism laws refer to a set of state, national and international laws governing the various aspects and functions of the travel industry. For example, travel law may include anything from hospitality to work to public health regulations.
There are at least many countries that maintain a travel law vendor.
Increased tourism to sensitive natural areas without appropriate planning and management can threaten the safety of local ecosystems and cultures. Increased number of visitors to environmentally sensitive areas may result in significant environmental degradation. Similarly, indigenous communities and cultures can be affected in many ways by the flow of foreign visitors and wealth. In addition, fluctuations in climate, currency exchange rates and political and social conditions can make excessive reliance on tourism risky.
With an emphasis on enriching personal experiences and environmental awareness through interpretation, eco-tourism promotes greater understanding and appreciation of nature, community and culture. In addition, eco-tourism may provide an alternative to economically viable development for communities with a few other income-generating options. In addition, eco-tourism may increase the level of education and activity among travellers, making them more enthusiastic and effective for conservation.
