Staff Reporter :
The Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) on Saturday recovered a burqa used during the arson attack on Sonagazi madrasa student Nusrat Jahan Rafi from a ditch near the Sonagazi Government College.
The PBI team conducted the search based on information given by Zobayer Ahmed, one of the key-accused in the case.
Zobayer threw into the pond the burqa after using it while setting afire Nusrat, said PBI Inspector Md Shah Alam.
Kamrun Nahar Moni, another arrested key-accused in the case, purchased three burqas from a shop in Sonagazi before taking part in the killing.
Shahadat, Zobayer Ahmed and Javed Hossain wore the burqas during the arson attack on Nusrat.
Moni was arrested on Wednesday night from Feni's Mohipal area and was placed on a five-day remand the same day.
Zobayer was arrested from Tulatali village of Sonagazi upazila on April 10. Later, he was placed on a seven-day remand.
Meanwhile, Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Saturday said a money transaction case will be filed if it finds any illegal money transaction linked to the murder of Nusrat Jahan Rafi.
Molla Nazrul Islam, Special Superintendent of organised Crime Division of CID, said this while talking to the media.
CID, from some news media and the investigation agency, has come to know there was illegal money transition relating to the murder, the CID official said.

"If the allegations are found true, we will file money transaction case against the guilty people," he said.
