10 more killed in road crashes

At least 10 persons, including a madrasa girl, were killed and 50 others seriously injured in several road accidents across the country on Wednesday.
In Madaripur, a driver and his helper were killed in a tragic road crash at Dashare  on the Dhaka-Barisal Highway under Kalkini upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as bus driver Abu Baker, 40, and his helper Masum Hawlader,42, said Golam Kibria, Officer-in-Charge of Dasar Police Station.
In Sylhet, a man was killed and four others were seriously injured when a bus rammed a CNG run auto-rickshaw in Lala Bazar area of Dakshin Surma upazila of the district.
Deceased Abdul Qayyum, 35, was from Chunarughat upazila of Habiganj.
Jedan Al Musa, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Sylhet Metropolitan Police told media that a Sylhet-bound bus of 'Shyamoli Paribahan' rammed the auto-rickshaw in the area around 10.30 am, leaving one dead and four others injured. The injured are undergoing treatment at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, ADC added.
In Dhaka, a pedestrian was run over by a bus at Aminbazar-Salehpur Bridge on the Dhaka-Aricha Highway in Savar upazila.
The deceased was identified as Ishtiaq Hossain, 36, from Mohammadpur upazila of Magura district.
Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Nazmul Hossain told the news media.
In Mymensingh, a madrasa student named Sahida Khatun, 11, was killed when an auto-rickshaw hit her in Fulpul upazila of the district on Wednesday.
In Sylhet, a passenger of auto-rickshaw named Abdul Quiyum,35, was killed when a paasenger bus hit him at Lalbazar area on the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway.
In Jashore, a local trader named Hossain Nedu, 55, was killed when a bus rammed him in Benapole upazila of the district. In Satkhira,a conductor named Abu Aslam Kokon,40, was killed in a tragic road crash in Kaliganj upazila of the district. Rajib Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of Kaliganj Police Station told the matter media.
In Chattagram, a woman named Kajli Shaha,55, was killed when a bus rammed her at Tiger Pass area of the city.
