12 including 6 bikers killed in road crashes

At least 12 persons, including six motorcycle riders, were killed and 40 others seriously injured in several road crashes across the country on Tuesday.
In Satkhira, two motorcyclists were killed under an ambulance in a face to face collision with the vehicles at Trish Mile area on the Satkhira-Khulna Highway under Tala upazila of the district on Tuesday.
The victims were identified as Kamrul Hasan, 35, and Nannu, 34, respectively from Katia and Lashkar Para areas of the town. Both of them were employees of Star Cables in Satkhira district.
Rezaul Islam, Officer-in-Charge of Patkelghata Police Station, told the matter media.
In Gazipur, two siblings died and four others seriously injured when a truck rammed a pick-up van on the Dhaka-Mymensingh    Highway in Porabari area of Gazipur city on Tuesday.
The deceased were identified as Alamin, 25, and Alam, 7, sons of Kajol Miah of Natunbazar area in Tongi.
Zakaria Khan, Station Officer of Joydebpur Fire Service, told the matter media.
In Rajshahi, Two motorcycle riders were killed and one injured in a road crash when a truck rammed them at Chhoto Senbagh under Puthia upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.
Of the two deceased, one was identified instantly as Sohel Rana, 30, from Sadar upazila of Natore.
Local sources said that a sand-laden truck hit a motorcycle on the Dhaka-Rajshahi Highway in Chhoto Senbag area around 4.30pm leaving two of its riders dead on the spot and one injured.

In Moulvibazar, two riders of a bike were killed and 15 more injured in a tragic road crash when a passenger bus hit a bike and overturned the bus at Kasurkapon of Kolauda of the district.
The deceased were identified as Soleman Ali, 65, Freedom Fighter and his nephew Asad,18.
Yeardus Hasan, Officer-in-Charge of  Kolauda Police Station told the matter to the media.
In CoxBazar, a Madrasa teacher named Maulana Abu Azam was killed in a tragic road accident at Kotakhali under Chokoria upazila of the district.
The victim Azam was son of one late Mustaque Ahmed and served as a assistant teacher in local Dhakil Madrasa.
In Naogaon, an youth named Moyazzem Hossain, 29, was killed and three others injured when a truck hit them near Bhabanipur bazaar under Atrai upazila of the district on Monday night. In Kushtia, an unknown pedestrian, 35, was killed when a vehicle rammed him at Bottola under Mirpur upazila of the district on Tuesday.
