Family Planning Department, NGO's including Kishoreganj District Administration jointly arranged a colourful rally, discussion, postering, documentary film and crest certificate among the field level workers marking the Day on Thursday.
The theme of the day "25 years of the ICPD: accelerating the promise."
A discussion meeting was held at Somoboy Community Center on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Md. Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury attended as chief guest while Deputy Director of Family Planning Dr. Rowshan Akter Jahan in the chair.
Civil Surgeon Dr Habibur Rahman and Additional SP  Nazmul Islam Sopan  attended as special guest.
It was addressed among others by Sadar Upazila Chairman Mamun Al Masud Khan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Md  Abdul Kadir Mia, Dr. Halima, Dr. Hosna Ara, Upazila Family Planning Officer Md. Mizanur Rahman, Sub-Assistant Medical Officer Danash Pondit, District Press Club President Mostafa Kamal Journalist Alam Sarowar Tito.
Deputy Commissioner Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury said that the government is committed to a new sustainable development agenda built on the principles of euqity and human rights. To achive the target, adolescent health care is essential.
Family Planning D.D Dr. Rowshan Akter Jahan called upon all concerned to create awarness of the adolescent health and child marriage.
Later, a colourfull rally was brought out in the town led by D.C Sarowar Morshed Chowdhury and D.D Family Planning Dr. Rowshan Akter Jahan on Thursday morning.
Dinajpur (South) Correspondent adds : In keeping with the theme '25 year of the ICPD : accelerating the peomise' World Population Day was observed at Fulbari in Dinajpur on Thursday Monrning.
Upazila Family Planning Office arranged different promrammes.
The rally was started from Upazila Parishadh Chattar from municipal town.
At the end rally and discussion meeting was organized at Upazila Parishadh Hallroom Upazila Family Planning Officer Dr Md Ismail Hosain on the chair.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md Abdus Salam Chowdhury attended the discussion as  Chief Guest .
Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Manju Roy Chowdhury, Women Vice Chairman Mst. Niru Samsun Nahar, Upazila Agriculture Officer Krishibid ATM Hamim Ashraf addressed the event as special guests.
UP Chairman Vice Principul Shah Md. Abdul Kuddus, UP chairman Md. Manik Ratan, UP Chairman Md. Mamunur Rashid Chowdhury Biplob, Medical Officer of Upazila Health Complex Md. Raiz Uddin, Upazila Social Service Officer Md  Akhtaruzzaman, Fulbari Press Club Organizing Secretary daily Ajkaler khobor correspondent Plabon Shuvo also addressed the event as guests.
At the end,  selected best Family Welfare Inspector Rahmat Ara Begum of Phulbari Head Quarter Clinic, best Family Welfare Assistant Umm Kulsum Begum of Aladipur Union, Mokaddesur Rahman, Family Planning Inspector of Daulatpur Union,  best health and family welfare center SACMO Hasan Muntasir of Aldipur Union, Health and Family Welfare Center of the Best Elwari Union and Best Shibnagar Union Parishad were  given a reception  and  letters of honor.
