Popular face of the small screen Rawnak Hasan besides acting sometimes writes or gives direction of TV plays. As basically he writes all of his own directed dramas, so he always tries to cast those actors who will be appropriate regarding story of his works. On the occasion of coming Eid-ul-Azha to telecast on RTV, he has made a special drama Maa, which shooting has been finished on Friday. He himself wrote story of the drama, which will be aired on seventh day of Eid.  
While talking about main story of the drama Maa, Rawnak Hasan said that in middle class family, after marriage mother of children separates from father and during coronavirus many complexities rise in the family are to be presented in the story of Maa.
Versatile actress of TV and film Monira Mithu played the title role in the drama. She has already proved herself as a multitalented actress by her acting skill. Rawnak wanted to work with her and he did it.
Rawnak said, “Mithu Apa is a talented and outstanding actress. She has a lot of energy and has intention to give effort to portray the role of a mother which I found in Mithu Apa’s acting for this drama. I worked with her for several time. So, I have better understanding with her in this regard. For this reason, I took her to play the role mother in my drama and I am very much satisfied with her acting.”
Monira Mithu is very much excited to work in this drama. She shared her feelings by this way, “I have acted in the drama in an unexpected role. While acting I always felt I would not be able to portray the role properly but Rawnak gave me full freedom during shooting. I tried my level best effort to portray the role properly. If Rawnak would get more budgets and five days’ shooting time, it will be a better work. But I am satisfied to work in this drama.”
Rawnak Hasan first made drama Tomatei. Later, he made 11 faction plays including Rochi Momo Famguni. Lastly he made drama Nishithey two years ago. Under Rawnak’s direction, Monira Mithu acted in 104-episode serial Bibaho Hobe, which will go on air on Banglavision soon.
Under Sumon Anwar’s direction, Mithu and Rawnak first acted in role of mother-son in drama Swapno Kuhok. In drama Maa, they also acted in same role.
