Khulna, Sylhet post wins

Khulna and Sylhet divisions won their respective three-day matches of the Young Tigers Under-18 National Cricket Competition at two different venues on Thursday.
On the third day on Thursday, Khulna Division notched an innings and 98 runs victory over Barisal Division at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra while Sylhet Division beat Chittagong Division by 9 wickets at Cricket Garden in Rangpur.
Khulna Div vs Barisal Div
Trailing by 136 runs, Barisal Division (93 in the first innings) resumed the 2nd innings on the final day with overnight score of 47 runs for 3 wickets in 35 overs and were all out for 85 runs in 58.2 overs to concede the innings defeat.
Overnight batsman Mridul Davnath (17) and number eight Jukhar Ane (10) were the double digit scorers for the side.
Saiful Islam of Khulna Division was adjudged man of the match grabbing 7 wickets for 26 runs in 15.1 overs in the first innings and 5 wickets for 14 runs in 17.2 overs in the second innings.
On the 2nd day on Wednesday, replying to Khulna Division's 276 runs in the first innings, Barisal Division opened the first innings and were bundled out for only 93 runs in 55.5 overs.
Sylhet Div vs Chittagong Div
Trailing by 53 runs, Chittagong Division (69 runs in the first innings) resumed the 2nd innings on the third day with overnight total of 79 runs for 2 in 44 overs and eventually scored 168 for all in 92 overs.
Overnight batsman Abdullah Al Mashrur scored team highest 36 runs while number nine Arafatul Islam (not out 30), Tamjid Hasan (13) and Tarek Kamal(13) were the other notable scorers.
Ariful Hasan Shuhan grabbed 6 wickets for 50 runs in 36 overs in the second innings and he earlier took 3 wickets for 20 runs in 16 overs in the first innings to be adjudged man of the match.
Chasing a target of 37 runs, Sylhet Division (201 runs in the first innings) reached the target losing one wicket in 15.4 overs.
Asadullah Al Galib (not out 23), opener Foysal Uddin (9) and Mamun Ahmed (not out 5) were the day's scorers for the side. Miah Naim Hasan took the only wicket for 7 runs in 5.4 overs.
Meanwhile, Rajshahi Division scored 143 runs for 8 at stumps in 49 overs against Dhaka Division North on the 2nd day on Thursday in the fog-interrupted match at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox's Bazar.
Tohirul Islam and Shakil Hossain Sojid were batting on 37 and 2 runs respectively. Rekab Mahamud grabbed four wickets for 26 runs in 15 overs.
In the other fog-interrupted match at Cox's Bazar-2, Dhaka Metro were trailing by 83 runs against Rangpur Division.
On the 2nd day on Thursday, Rangpur Division resumed the first innings with overnight 52 for 3 in 30 overs and were all out for 92 runs in 40.2 overs.
Nahid Islam (17) was the only double digit scorer.
Maidul Islam Rana grabbed four wickets for 27 runs in 9.2 overs in the first innings.
In reply, Dhaka Metro opened the first innings and scored 9 runs for one at stumps. Omar Faruk was batting on 4 runs.
Nahid Islam took the only wicket for 8 in 2 overs.
