Bangladesh play with Tajikistan today

Hosts Bangladesh will play Tajikistan in their 2nd home match of the FIFA World Cup 2018 and AFC Asia Cup 2019 Qualifiers today (Tuesday) at 5 pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium here in a hope to return to the winning run.
Both the teams made frustrating starts losing their first home match last Thursday. Tajikistan conceded 1-3 goals defeat against Jordan at home while Bangladesh also suffered 1-3 goals defeat against lowly ranked Kyrgyzstan at home.
In the FIFA ranking, Tajikistan was placed 139th, 27 steps ahead of Bangladesh and in previous six meetings Tajikistan also enjoyed upper hand winning four matches against one draw and one loss against Bangladesh.
Earlier, Tajikistan National Football reached Dhaka Sunday afternoon to play their away match against hosts Bangladesh.
Bangladesh has been placed in Round-2 of Group-B along with World Cup playing Australia, Jordan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan to play the home and away matches of the Asian Qualifiers.
The Dutch head of Bangladesh team Lodewijk de Kruif said, "Tomorrow (Tuesday) we will get another opportunity to judge our team, we are still long way to go, but we are not ready to leave the any space without a fight."
"They are more experienced, physically, technically and tactically strong team (than us), we have to put our best, we have nothing to lose, we are working to fight for a win and we will take the field as a hard opponent," Kruif further said.
Bangladesh captain Mamunul Islam Mamun said, "we are ready to give our 100 percent, we will try our best to do something (tomorrow) to make day for us."
Bangladesh defender will not play tomorrow due to injury.
Head Coach of Tajikistan Mukhsin Mukhmadiev also affirmed his thirst for victory.
"We lost the first game, we want to bounce back to the winning ways, Bangladesh is a good team and they have some good players, we want play our best to win the match," said the Tajik coach.
"Local weather is not a problem for us as it is equally same for both the teams," he added
Ahead of the qualifying round, Bangladesh played two FIFA International friendly matches with Singapore and Afghanistan at home recently where Bangladesh lost to Singapore 1-2 and drew 1-1 with Afghanistan
Bangladesh played Tajikistan in international football on six occasions where Tajikistan won four, Bangladesh won one and the rest match ended in draw.
The rate of tickets for Tuesday's match will remain unchanged as rate of VIP gallery ticket at Tk 100 and gallery ticket at Tk 50 each.
