Mitali Mukherji comes to Dhaka again

On May 5, when popular Indian Ghazal singer Mitali Mukherji finished her job as a guest judge at the grand finale of music reality show, Sherakontho during that time Managing Director of Channel i Faridur Reza Sagor announced that Mitali will also work as head judge of the contest.
As a part of its continuation, National Film Award winner singer Mitali again came to Dhaka on September 9 to work as chief judge of 'Sherakontho-Season 6. From September 10 she has started to work as chief judge of the contest. She will work till September 14.
While sharing her feelings to work as chief judge of the contest Mitali Mukherjji told this correspondent, “When I worked as judge of SaReGaMa during that time three to four participants from Bangladesh took part. Some of them I got in here and I can say they can render song well. I am really impressed with their performances. The participants who are contesting in this competition they know how to render song and they have necessary preparations in this regard. I am glad to see that elsewhere in Bangladesh there are lots of participants in the field of music. I am very much delighted to be part of this contest.”
Rezwana Chowdhury Bonnya, Samina Chowdhury and Kumar Bishwajit are also working as judges of this season’s Sherakontho.
Mitali Mukherji was born in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. She was brought up there. Her mother Kalyani Mukherji also rendered songs well. Her father Amullyo Mukherji could play flute nicely. She received training from Narayan Das, student of Ustad Sanjib Dey’s father Mithun Das, for one year.
