4 more heavy fog, rainfall by Feb 1st week

Metrological Office in its weather forecast on Friday said, mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over the country and it is likely to continue for some more days.
"Mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna and Barisal divisions and the regions of Tangail, Faridpur, Madaripur, Gopalgong, Mymensingh, Srimangal, Comilla, Feni, Sitakunda and Hatiya," said a Met office forecast.
Moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the country during midnight till morning and it may continue till noon over northwestern part of the country, while weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky, it added.
Meanwhile, the Met office in its long weather forecast has said, at least three thick fogs likely to sweep in January and another badly thick fog may brush away across the country in the first week of the month of February due to rainfall.
Apart from these, seasonal low lies over the South Bay. Ridge of sub-continental high extends up to West Bengal and adjoining area.
According to the Met office forecast, 'moderate to thick' fog is likely to occur at places over the country till first week of February.
A deep convection will continue over the North Bay and squally weather may affect the maritime ports and coastal areas as well as other parts of Bangladesh, said Arif Hosain, a meteorologist from the Met department.
"The rainfall which may occur in the very beginning of February and it will continue across the country for at least the next two days. Some areas of the coastal districts might face heavy rainfall, however the districts of Rangpur and Rajshahi might experience less rain."
