Akram Khan urges youngsters to perform better

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) director Akram Khan is hopeful about Bangladesh doing well in the upcoming Asia Cup next month. He wants youngsters to step up along with seniors Bangladesh's recent ODI series win over Windies was dominated by the seniors. Tamim Iqbal was the player of the series.

"Bangladesh will be strong more as a team if junior players could perform in the same pace with the senior players. In that case, the possibility to do well again! "Asia Cup will kick off on 15th September. Bangladesh will take on Sri Lanka in the opening match in Dubai. Akram said that the tigers will leave Bangladesh before the tournament.
"All players of our team are busy in the game So, we'll start training camp on August 27 for Asia Cup. There will be 30-32 players in the camp. And we're trying to go to United Arab Emirates (UAE) a bit before the tournament.
"There will be three Asia Cup champions' teams-Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka. Their playing standard are better They are also comparatively better But currently, our position is comparatively better than Sri Lanka. Pakistan is playing better cricket at this moment India is also playing better cricket, "he added.
