Sheikh Arif Bulbon :
Gallery Cosmos organized a fifteen-day long group art exhibition titled Mrinmoy Bangla by artists Juton Chandra Roy, Suman Kumar Sarkar, Kamruzzoha and Maneek Bonik at its gallery.
Miss Panpimon Suwannapongse, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest on Friday. Noted artist Kalidas Karmakar was also  present as the guest of honour.
Whenever we think about Bangladesh, she comes with a view of paradise formed on alluvial land. The first lesson of art here is based on rich and open nature. Here the contemporary artists start their career by painting nature. The colourful canvas of the artists here is knitted with water and soil.
Contemporary artists Juton Chandra Roy, Mohammad Kamruzzoha, Manik Banik and Sumon Kumar Sarkar have tried to find out the conventional Bangla in their paintings. They have characterized fresh everlasting green nature with their water colour.
Artist Jhuton Chandra Roi has tried to find his nostalgia in the midst of old town of Dhaka.
Artist Kamruzzoha has found out typical life of rural nature of Bangladesh. He has made his creation on the busy dawn and lazy dusk of the village life.
Artist Manik Banik has tried to find out story of rural area in the fields, street and meadows. And the picture of the ethnic Sawtal village will be found in the canvas of artist Sumon Kumar Sarkar.
Though they have used transparent water colour of the west, the view and scenery they created would take us to the typical rural Bangla.
