NUB announces incentive package for students on Covid-19 pandemic

During the global pandemic of coronavirus, Northern University Bangladesh (NUB) has announced an incentive package of around Tk 18 crore. NUB has come forward to relax the students and is announcing an special incentive package to ensure continuity of student life for its students, said the Management of NUB. The university authorities said this on Monday (June 01, 2020).
 Under this special incentive programme, students will be able to meet their all educational expenses starting from different educational equipment to internet data package to ensure uninterrupted education life.
 Here are some steps student can take incentive such as, the university has decided to waive almost 100 percent of the tuition fees for the summer semester 2020 for students who have been directly infected in the Covid-19 or Corona virus. Newly admitted students are getting 20 percent discount on the full tuition fee and 50 percent discount on the admission fee including all other benefits. Existing students will receive 15 percent education incentive over the Summer semester 2020. Beside these facilities, existing and newly students will be able to pay this semester fee in 4 installments. NUB will waive 15 percent or more of tuition fees who have been been particularly affected by recent events or who are in particular financial distress due to the global situation. In addition, the university will continue to provide the normal need-based and merit-based scholarships it has in the past.
 Professor Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, Chairman, NUB Trust said, “Northern University has always been helping talented, indigent students in various ways, including scholarships and educational incentives. This special incentive package has been announced keeping on that who are facing financial difficulties due to the Corona disaster and they can continue their studies.
