Candidates of Forum, a panel of the garment manufacturers of Bangladesh, submitted their nomination forms on Saturday for the upcoming elections of the Some 40 candidates of Sammilito Parishad, a panel of the readymade garment manufacturers of the country, submitted their nomination papers for the upcoming elections of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA).
Among them, 31 from Dhaka zone and 9 from Chittagong zone.
The BGMEA board of directors election for 2024-2026 will be held on March 9.
On their behalf, panel leader and senior vice-president of the BGMEA SM Mannan Kochi, President of Sammilito Parishad and former BGMEA President Tipu Munshi MP, Former BGMEA President Md Siddiqur Rahman, also the Chief Election Coordinator of the Sammilito Parishad submitted the papers at the BGMEA Complex at Uttara of the capital.
Former BGMEA President Abdus Salam Murshedy MP, former BGMEA President Md Shafiul Islam Mohiuddin, and current president of BGMEA Faruque Hassan were also present at the event.
