Popular actress and model Bithy Rani Sarker, hailed from Rangpur, came
to the discussion overnight
after working as a model in an
advertisement of GrameenPhone,
several years ago. However, Bithy is called ‘Poroma’ in her village home.
She tied the nuptial knot with news presenter Devashish Ranjan Sarker on March 5 in 2021. After almost three years of marriage, Poroma and Devashish’s house was blessed with a son on December 10. Their son has been named Oviram Porom Dev.
The son’s name is ‘Porom Dev’, combining these two names ‘Dev’ of Devashish and ‘Porom’ of Poroma (Bithy).
While talking in this regard, actress and model Bithy Rani Sarker (Poroma) told this correspondent, “God has sent us as a gift to fulfill our dreams, to spread light in our family life, God has sent us as a gift to ‘Porom Dev’ to fill our lives with happiness. Infinite gratitude to God He has kept our child healthy, we are also fine – this is also a great achievement. We want to pray to all that we can make ‘Porom Dev’ like a human being. And I have endless love for Devashish. Devashish loves me a lot, cares for me a lot. I can always feel his awareness, love towards me. I want to spend my whole life happily with him.”
Bithy acted in her first drama titled ‘Meki’ directed by Sajal Ahmed. Hillol acted opposite Bithy in this drama.
Bithy’s first movie was ‘Headmaster’ directed by Delwar Jahan Jhantu.
Her other movies are: ‘Karon Tomay Bhalobasi’, ‘Kaler Putul’, ‘Horijupia’, and ‘Sotta’. Bithy starrer movie ‘Kansar Thalay Rupali Chand’ is waiting to release.
Rangpur is the village home of Poroma (Bithy). Her father’s name is Upendranath Sarker, mother Lipi Rani Sarker. Much of Bithy’s life spent her at Jhenaidah Cadet College because her father was working in Bangladesh Army. Notably, Bithy became the first model under the direction of Amitabh Reza.
