A procession followed by a protest meeting was held on Sunday afternoon at Mahbub Smriti Mancha in Ishwardi organised by Bir Muktijoddha-Janata to protest against the attack on the freedom fighter Fazlur Rahman Fantu by the Razakar’s son. It was decided in the meeting that the guilty Razakar’s son will immediately brought under the law and demanded exemplary punishment.
Former Acting Commander of Muktijoddha Command Golam Mostafa Channa Mandal presided over the rally. The Chief Guest was Alhaj Nuruzzaman Biswas MP of Pabna-4 Constituency. Special guests were Abul Kalam Azad Mintu, General Secretary of Upazila Awami League, Isaac Ali Malitha, Mayor of the Municipality, Abdul Salam Khan, Vice Chairman.
Other Nazrul Islam Mintu, Prof Abul Kalam Azad, Muktijoddha Shahiduzzaman Nasim, Akram Hossain and Sirajuddin Uddin, Press Club President Prof. Swapan Kumar Kundu, Former President SM Raja, General Secretary Lecturer Abdul Baten, General Secretary of Sahitya Sanskriti Parishad E.M. Shahidul Islam, Municipal Councilor Firoza Begum and others.
The meeting was conducted by Milon Rahman of Muktijoddha Sontan Command.
