Bangladesh ambassador presents credentials to Egyptian president

Bangladesh Ambassador to Egypt Samina Naj presented her credentials to President of Egypt Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi on December 17.

On the same day, ambassadors of some 20 countries, including Bangladesh, also handed over their credentials at the Presentation of Credential Ceremony, reports UNB.

The Bangladesh Ambassador was taken from Bangladesh House in a motor procession to the Presidential Palace.

According to the Bangladesh Embassy in Egypt, two Chamberlains first took the ambassador to the Presidential Palace Garden and the national anthem of Bangladesh was played by the orchestra guard. During the period, the Bangladesh ambassador was awarded guard of honour.

Ambassador Samina Naz greeted the Egyptian President with ‘Salam’ and introduced herself.

She handed over the identity card given by the President of Bangladesh to the President of Egypt.

The president of Egypt expressed hope that the bilateral relations between Bangladesh and Egypt will grow further.

He termed Bangladesh as a sisterly country.

Expressing gratitude to the Egyptian President, Ambassador Naz conveyed the greetings of the Bangladesh President and the Prime Minister to him.

She expressed strong hope that she will receive full support, encouragement and assistance from the President of Egypt during her tenure in Egypt.
