Bangladesh Cricket team off to New Zealand

Bangladesh Cricket team left the city for New Zealand to play three One Day International (ODI) matches and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against New Zealand.

Opener Anamul Haque Bijoy was out of Bangladesh Cricket team as he got injury while he took part in a match against New Zealand before eight years.

Later, he was called in the Bangladesh World Cup squad in the ICC Cricket World Cup, which concluded recently in India. But the opener did not get chance to play in the World Cup match.

Anamul Haque Bijoy showed an outstanding and consistent performance in the domestic first class competition of the country.

After watching his performance, Team Management of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included him for the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.

Before leaving the country, Anamul Haque Bijoy said, ” I shall try to level best to perform well if I get chance to play.

I got injury in the year of 2015. I shall try to bring a good result for my country.”

Anamul Haque Bijoy, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Mustafizur Rahman, Afif Hossain and Rakibul Hasan have been called in the Bangladesh ODI squad. Soumya Sarkar and Afif Hossain returned to the ODI and T20I squads. Rishad Hossain and spinner Rakibul Hasan are the newcomers of the ODI squad. Rishad Hossain is also get chance in the T20I squad. Tanvir Islam has been recalled for the T20I squad.

Bangladesh will take on New Zealand in the first ODI on December 17, Bangladesh will face New Zealand in the second ODI on December 20, the Tigers will meet the Kiwis in the third ODI on December 23.

Bangladesh will face New Zealand in the first T20I on December 27, the Tigers will take on the Kiwis in the second T20I on December 29, Bangladesh will meet New Zealand in the third T20I on December 31.
