BD pile up 153/6 against USA in 1st T20I

Bangladesh piled up a fighting total of 153 for the loss of six wickets against the United States of America (USA) in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) match at Houston in Texas of the USA on Tuesday.

Bangladesh had a modest start with two openers Litton Das and Soumya Sarkar put on together 34 runs before Litton (14) was trapped leg before wicket by Jessy Singh.

After Litton’s dismissal, Soumya Sarkar could not stay at the crease for a long period as he (20) was caught at the deep midwicket by Nitish Kumar off Steven Taylor when the tourists’ total was 34 for the loss of two wickets.
One down Najmul Hossain Shanto (3) was stumped out by wicketkeeper Monank Patel off Steven Taylor when the visitors’score was 51 for the loss of three wickets.

Third down Shakib Al Hasan (6) was run out by a joint-effort of Steven Taylor and Harmeet Singh when the Tigers’ total was 68 for the loss of four wickets.

Second down Towhid Hridoy and fourth down Mahmudullah Riyad built the most worthy partnership contributing together 67 runs in the fifth wicket stand before Riyad was caught at the long-on by Nitish Kumar off Saurabh Netravalkar when Bangladesh’s score was 135 for the loss of five wickets.
