The cover of the biographical book of the leader of the anti-British movement: Charonkobi Mukondo Das “( British Birodhi Andoloner Purodha : Charankobi Mukundo Das)”unveiled on Wednesday.
Eminent persons of the city unveiled the book which was written by freedom fighter late Mihir Dutta ( 1935-2005).
The ceremony was held in the premises of late author Mihir Dutta’s residence at Agorpur Road of Barishal city on Wednesday.
The cover unveiling ceremony was organized by the Martyr Jitendra-Subir Memorial Association and attended by freedom fighters, educationists, literary personalities, journalists, NGO organisers, children and juveniles.
The program was moderated by Shubhabrato Dutta, son of the book’s author late Mihir Dutta and member secretary of the Shaheed Jitendra-Subir Smriti Sangsad.
“Writing of the book was originally started by the author Mihir Dutt in his life time on last part of 20th century. But it was published in book form 18 years after his death”, said the attendants of the programme.
After 18 years, the manuscript was published by Akhori Publications in the form of a book by his son journalist Shubobrato Dutta.
