Dr. Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed, a professor of Department of Islamic Studies at Dhaka University and an expert on Islamic banking and finance; has become a member of AB Bank’s Shari’ah Supervisory Committee.
The AB Bank authorities appointed the DU professor to the Shari’ah Supervisory Committee recently.
Alongside the professor at DU’s Department of Islamic Studies, Dr. Muztaba Riza Ahmed is also performing duty as a house tutor at Sir P J Hartog International Hall of the university.
Born in Cumilla, Professor Hafiz Muztaba Riza Ahmed has more than 30 research publications on Islam, Islamic banking, Islamic microfinance, rural development and poverty alleviation and different other aspects. His research articles have been published in various national and international journals.
Dr. Muztaba Riza Ahmed has profound knowledge on various arenas of Islamic Shari’ah. He has traveled to different countries to enrich his professional knowledge and skills. He presented research papers in various national and international seminars and conferences on various issues, including on the Bediuzzaman Said Nursi and Risale-i Nur.
