Miscreants set fire to 2 places within 10 minutes in the minority neighborhood of Dumain Union of Dumain Union in MadhukhaliUpazila of Faridpur.
The incident took place on Tuesday, December 5 at around 8 pm; miscreants first set fire to the electricity meter of the house of Tapas Kumar Biswas. Hearing the news of this fire, when the locals were busy putting out the fire, miscreants set fire to a pile of jute sticks in the yard of Kumares Chand Biswas’s house. Then there was panic in the area. Later, the local public put a pipe in the sallow machine in the field and tried hard to bring the fire on the pile of jute sticks under control.
Tapas Kumar Biswas said that 22 days ago (November 12, 2023) at around 8 o’clock in the night, another house was set on fire by miscreants. The amount of damage is approximately 3 lakh rupees. Tapas Kumar Biswas stayed in Dhaka with his family due to work. Mrs. Pinky Rani Biswas (65) has been living as a housekeeper in the village homestead for a long time. Yesterday he left the house around 4 pm to watch Kali Puja. It seems that miscreants set fire on this occasion.

In this regard, UpazilaNirbahi Officer Mamnoon Ahmed Anik said that efforts are being made to find the perpetrators; all those involved will be brought under the law. He also said there is a plan to provide financial assistance to the victims.
