After being elected as the Member
of the Parliament for Dhaka-10
constituency, popular film actor Ferdous Ahmed has been busy
for the past three months working
as a public representative.
According to Ferdous, he is constantly working hard to make his constituency the best area of Dhaka as promised to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He does not care about his rest.
Ferdous spends his time thinking and doing how people will be well-being, how people will be comfortable, how people will be well. But in the meantime, Ferdous has gone to New York to attend the ‘Suchitra Sen International Film Festival’ as a guest.
The two-day festival is starting tomorrow at the Jamaica Performing Arts Centre in New York, USA.
Two movies starring Ferdous titled ‘1971 Shei Shob Din’ and ‘Mike’ will be screened in this festival on two consecutive days.
Around 39 movies from India and Bangladesh will be screened in this festival. On the afternoon of April 21, there will be an award ceremony and a cultural programme for the films screened in the festival.
Meanwhile, the movie ‘Ahare Jibon’ starring Ferdous and directed by Chhatku Ahmed has been released this Eid. Ferdous’ performance in this movie has been appreciated.
Ferdous said about participation in the film festival and the release of his movie ‘Ahare Jibon’ on Eid, “Thanks to the organisers of the legendary actress Suchitra Sen International Film Festival for inviting me to such an event. The very interesting thing is that two films starring me will be screened in this festival. It is impossible to say that I can finally get an award in New York for a movie. And one of the best directors of Bengali cinema, my mentor Chhatku Bhai’s movie ‘Ahare Jibon’ released on Eid. Even at this age, he has made a great movie. I believe that this movie will be embedded in people’s minds for a while. My best friend Purnima has also acted well in this movie.”
Ferdous informed that after returning to Dhaka, he will complete the rest of the movie titled ‘Juddho Jibon’.
He is also the brand ambassador of some organisations; he will work for those organisations.
The actor said that the contract with consumer rights is over, he will return to work after renewing the contract.
Meanwhile, Ferdous said that the people of his constituency have returned to their normal lives after the busyness of Eid. He said that he will come back and work for them.
Apart from this, Ferdous will also participate in the Parliament session which will start from May 2.
