A housewife named Shilpi Khatun (19) was committed suicide at Bhangura Upazila of Pabna district.
The incident took place at Koidanga Charpara village of Bhangura union on Saturday. Yusuf Ali, father of Shilpi in the village of Charbangura Railpara said that his daughter married to love with Khairul Islam at Koidanga Charpara village in the seven months ago. Later she learns that Khairul has one more wife. Yet she was still at her husband’s house. But the son-in-law loved the older wife more. On Friday night, they were making a quarrel between his daughter and his Son-in-law. The son-in-law also beat her. As a result, she is hanging on her thought with the rope and committing suicide in anger and pride on Saturday. Yousuf Ali blames to Sun in law for his daughter’s death.
Md Masud Rana, Officer in charge of Bhangura thana admitted the incident and said that the body was recovered at noon and sent to Pabna district morgue for postmortem report. An unnatural death case has been filed in this regard.
