Jaldhaka Municipality of Nilphamari has announced a budget of 81 crore 57 lakh 99 thousand 1 hundred and 85 rupees for the fiscal year 2023-24.
Mayor Elias Hossain Bablu announced this budget for the third time in the open stage at the mayor’s office premises on Sunday. The announced budget showed more expenditure on development and infrastructure sectors. However, no new taxes have been imposed in this budget. The budget shows expenditure on construction, development, renovation and infrastructure of municipal buildings and markets In total, 4 crore 92 lakh 99 thousand 1 hundred and 85 taka income in the revenue sector and the same amount of taka expenditure in the government sector are shown in the budget.
In answering the questions of the journalists, the Mayor said that Jaldhaka Municipality is a traditional institution. We are working to make this institution and city a modern and model smart city. The present government is providing full cooperation in this regard.
