Jagannath University (JnU) Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Unit vice-president Parag Hossain Slapped and beat a student named Md. Minhajul Islam.
Minhajul is the university’s Mass communication and journalism department 2022-23 academic year student for not listening to motorcycle horn.
The incident took place in front of the main gate of the university on Wednesday (07 February) at 1.30 pm.
The accused Parag Hossain is a student of the 2015-16 (11 batch) academic year of the university’s mathematics department.
The aggrieved student filed a complaint against the proctor seeking justice.
According to the complaint, when the victim entered the campus through the 1st gate of University, Parag Hossain, vice president of JnU Chhatra League, horned from behind.
Then, he called and slapped Md Minahjul Islam as Horn could not hear.
Then asked to apologize in front of everyone. When he refused to apologise, accused Parag Hossain again slapped and punched him.
Accused Parag Hossain said, I didn’t Doing nothing like that.
I horned while taking the bike, he didn’t hear the horn; So I got down from the bike and asked which batch, then i just gave him two slaps.
In this regard, the victim student Minhajul Islam said, I was slapped unfairly. I want a fair trial of this incident from the university administration.
