The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has criticised the ruling Awami League government, accusing it of neglecting national interests and characterising it as a ‘knee-jerk regime’.

In a discussion meeting held at the National Press Club on Thursday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir asserted that the Awami League government has failed to take a decisive stance in favour of national and public interests, labelling it a “knee-jerk” administration.

The event, commemorating Farakka Long March Day, was chaired by Sheikh Rafiqul Islam Bablu, convener of Bhasani Onushari Parishad.
