‘Library is the real friend for acquiring knowledge’

Vice chancellor of International Islamic University Chittagong Prof.AKM Golam Mohiuddin said library is the real friend for acquiring knowledge as such establishment of library in every corner of the society is essential.
He disclosed it while addressing the National Library day -2018 at Kumir main campus of the university as arranged by IIUC Library & Information Division as chief guest. Pro-VC of IIIUC Prof. Delwar Hossain presided over it duly addressed by Treasurer of IIUC Trust Md. Nurullah as special guest. Dearn of Sharia Facultry Prof. Nazmul Hoque Nadvi, Registrar Col. Md. Kashem PSC(Rtd) , Director Prof. AKM Shahed delivered address of welcome .Additional Librarian Md. Jahangir Alam also addressed in it. Asstt. Librarian Md. Nurul Islam conducted the function.
 After end of the programs, a colourful rally was brought out from Library premises which terminated in front Shahid Minar.

3 die in separate road accidents

UNB, Chattogram : Three people including an imam, died in separate road accidents in Chattogram’s Raozan and Hathazari upazilas on Tuesday. The deceased were identified as Syedul Haque, 45; Md Miraz, 24; and Md Faruk, 26.
