The MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) admission test of the academic year 2023-24 for both public and private medical colleges was held on Friday countrywide.
A total of 104,374 students applied to sit in the examination against a total of 11,675 seats where 5,380 seats available in 37 public medical and 6,295 seats in 67 private medical colleges.
The admission test started at 10am and continued till 11am simultaneously in 44 venues of 19 centres including five centres in Dhaka city across the country.
While visiting at examination centre of Arts Building of Dhaka University, the Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Samanta Lal Sen said, “The examination was held peacefully.”
“All necessary precautions have been taken centering this examination. I contacted with different district on phone. So far the exam is going smoothly. I hope the exam goes well,” he added.
Emphasizing on quality doctor, the Minister said, “I will make doctor in a suitable way. We are working towards the goal of having quality doctor not quantity.”
