Mayor Md Ekramul Haque Titu on Saturday visited various development works in the construction of roads and drains in Ward No. 1, 29 and 30 of Mymensingh City Corporation (MCC). Under Tk-1575 crore project of Mymensingh City Corporation for construction of road and drainage infrastructure and improvement of citizen services, works of about 90 crore rupees are currently going on in these three wards. During the visit, the mayor directed the engineers and contractors to complete the ongoing development works at the earliest.
He said, we are working to realize the dream that the Prime Minister gave to the people of Mymensingh City Corporation.
Corona and Russia Ukraine war have hindered the development. Still we are trying to achieve the desired goal.
At this time, the Mayor took the views of the citizens regarding the ongoing development and said that the Hon’ble Prime Minister has given various development projects for the development of the city and the improvement of the comfort and quality of life of the citizens. It is of the utmost importance that the ongoing development work is completed in a quality and speedy manner. Also, the Mayor directed the regular presentation of updated information on the progress of the work so that the contractors work regularly.
Ward No. 1 Councilor Md. Asaduzzaman Babu, Ward No. 29 Councilor Md. Rafiqul Islam, Ward No. 30 Councilor Md. Abul Bashar, Reserved Constituency Councilor Selina Akhtar, Supervising Engineer Md. Zahurul Haque, Executive Engineer Md. Mamunur Rashid and Jibankrishna Sarkar, political leaders and others were present.
