Mithun to lead BCB XI in warm-up against Lanka

BSS, Dhaka :
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) on Saturday announced the BCB XI for the two-day practice match against Sri Lanka at the Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishtan (BKSP) on May 10-11.
The Sri Lankan cricket team will arrive in Bangladesh today for a two-match Test series which is a part of the 2021-2023 ICC World Test Championship.
Mohammad Mithun will lead the side which also included Anamul Haque Bijoy who had recently scored 1138 runs in Dhaka Premier League (DPL), the highest by a player since the DPL got List A status in 2013.
Shadman Islam, Saif Hassan, Abu Jayed Rahi who were dropped from the first Test against Sri Lanka were also called up along with Mosaddek Hossain, who was added to the squad suddenly.
The first Test will start at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on May 15 while the second Test will begin at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka on May 23.

Mohmmad Mithun (Captain), Shadman Islam, Anamul Haque Bijoy, Shahadat Hossain Dipu, Zakir Hasan, Saif Hassan, Mosaddek Hossain Saikat, Rishad Hossain, Md Enamul Haque, Mushfique Hassan, Ripon Mondol, Mukidul Islam Mugdho, Amite Hassan and Abu Jayed Chowdhury Rahi.
