Nahida, Fargana nominated ICC Player of the Month

Nahida Akter and Fargana Hoque of Bangladesh have been nominated for the short list of International Cricket Council (ICC) Women’s Player of the Month of November.

The two female cricketers showed an outstanding performance against Pakistan Women’s Cricket team in August.

The other female cricketer, who has got chance in the short list of ICC Player of the Month, is Sadia Iqbal of Pakistan.

Bangladesh Women’s Cricket team made history after defeating Pakistan Women’s Cricket team by 2-1 in the two-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in the capital’s Mirpur in August.

Nahida Akter captured altogether seven wickets with an average of remarkable 14 and was adjudged the Player of the Series.

Fargana Hoque, the top-order batter of Bangladesh shone with the willow in the recently concluded ODI series against Pakistan Women’s Cricket team. She scored altogether 110 runs with an average of 37. Her highest score was 62 runs.

Sadia Iqbal of Pakistan shone with the cherry in the recently concluded One Day International (ODI) series between Bangladesh and Pakistan. Sadia Iqbal bagged altogether six wickets.

Meanwhile, Travis Head of Australia, Glenn Maxwell of Australia and Mohammed Shami of India have been nominated the short list of the ICC Player of the Month of November.

They showed spectacular performance in the recently concluded ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, which concluded recently in India.
