The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) and the Better Bangladesh Foundation (BBF) on Wednesday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for attracting more Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
BIDA Executive Chairman Md Sirajul Islam presided over the MoU signing function at BIDA conference room in the city, said a press release.
BIDA Executive Member Md Mosharaf Hossain and Founder of the BBF Bangladesh and BBF Global Chairman Professor Mashud A Khan inked the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
As per the first initiative of the partnership, a virtual conference, titled “Bangladesh-Italy Investment” will be organised for encouraging investment and accelerating the foreign investment and trade relationship.
Speaking on the occasion, Sirajul Islam said Bangladesh’s economy is moving forward under the prudent policy and dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the country has become a wonder within the last 12 years.
“Bangladesh has set its targets, vision-2021 and vision-2041 for turning a developed country. The development depends on FDI. BIDA is working to increase investment,” he added.
