Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) has appointed Md Abdur Rahim as General Manager (GM) on 18 February.
Rahim has an illustrious banking career. Before joining BKB, he was the General Manager of Rupali Bank, read a press release.
Earlier in 1998, he started his career in the banking sector with Rupali Bank as a Senior Officer.
During his tenure at Rupali Bank, he served as branch managers of six branches along with corporate ones. He also worked as the head of four divisions, zonal head of Dhaka North Zone, and head of planning and research division in the bank’s head office.
Throughout his career, he was rewarded with several awards including financial award and best manager’s award.
Alongside work, Rahim has a thesis on the socio-economic conditions of the downtrodden people on Manikganj’s Singair upazila. He also took part in many training, seminars, and symposiums throughout his career.
Rahim completed his graduation and post-graduation from the University of Dhaka in Geography. He later completed his diploma in banking.
