WALTON receives ISO 18001:2007 Certificate

Walton, the country's leading electric, electronics, automobile and home appliance manufacturing and marketing company, has been awarded ISO 18001:2007 Certificate.
It has achieved the prestigious industrial recognition for assessing and complying with occupational health and safety management systems, official sources said.
UK based HSQ department has issued the OHSAS 18001(International Organization for Standardization) certificate.
The certificate has issued based on the abilities of the company to maintain the quality and standard of its products ensuring a healthy, safe and friendly occupational environment for the workers. Besides, the schemes of Walton High-Tech Industries to enhance the efficiency of the employees adopting friendly rules and regulations have also been highly recognized.
The authorities concerned hope that the internationally accepted certificate will definitely extend the goodwill of Walton in the global market.
Abdur Razzak, Additional Director of Walton, informed that the company earlier has also achieved ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 certificates for ensuring Quality Management System and Environmental Management System respectively.
He opined that these achievements will intensify the image of Walton in international fields.
Ashraful Ambia, Chief Engineer of Sourcing Engineering Department of Walton, said ISO 18001:2007 certification ensures the maximum safe and sound use of heavy machineries in electronics industries. This is defiantly a recognition of a splendid effort.
"We are always committed to ensure a safe and sound occupational environment. Safe and sound atmosphere encourages the employees to provide their best the organization which leads to produce quality products," he added.
